Will Ferrell was scheduled to appear on ESPN’s SportsCenter in character as Ron Burgundy on Thursday. That won’t be happening now that the State Attorney’s office will make an announcement regarding allegations of sexual assault leveled against Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston.
“Ron Burgundy’s scheduled Thurs. appearance on @SportsCenter has been cancelled in light of the potential implications of any news from the State Attorney’s press conference in Fla.,” said ESPN’s director of communications David Scott.
Scott also made note that there was no word on a reschedule.
As of this time, there is no reschedule date for Ron Burgundy on @SportsCenter.
